Speed has a much varied concept that you should know very well. The basic definition of speed is rate of change of distance with respect to time . In simple language how much a body travels in a unit time .

Speed can be used to predict the body's distance travelled and how much time it will take to travel some given distance.

IS SPEED CONSTANT ?

If we think speed is constant then the ans comes out to be no . Because speed is respective . By this we mean that speed of a body is 20km/h to a stationary object with velocity zero. But the speed of the same body will be 15km/h if it is observed from another body with velocity 5km/h .

Now you must have understood why speed is respective.

INSTATANEOUS SPEED:-

Speed at an instant is called Instantaneous speed.
